Being in The Right Place at The Right Time (and a spur of the moment contest)

Ravelry really continues to amaze me...there is this group called The Destash & ISO Library which is an amazing resource to find books/patterns for sale or to sell your stuff too. I often check it out and have found it's all about the right timing. You have to be very quick!

Anyway, the other day I found these three Norah Gaughan publications up for grabs and I snapped them up for a great price. Thing is I should have used Ravelry to confirm that I already own the one on the far right (Berrocco: Norah Gaughan Vol 1) as I used it to make my Annikki sweater.

Oh well, let's see if you want it leave a comment and on Saturday at the end of the day I'll do a random drawing for the winner! I'll announce the winner on Sunday.

  3. I've gotten some really good deals on Ravelry (though not on books - yet). I think you'll love the book on the left; my daughter gave it to me for Christmas last year and I think it's great.

  4. I absolutely love Norah Gaughan, great buy! Knitting Nature is a great book, and I would love to have a look at Berroco 1; I've been loving Anais from afar for a long time, and I would love to make that.

  5. I love her designs, but I don't have any of her publications. Oh, and BTW, I was sick anout your ruined sweater, but so glad your daughter could use it. I felted a handknit from Ireland sweater a few years ago. It was not pretty, maybe I could do a pillow or something.

  13. Yeah, I need to use my stash list on Rav better! Fortunately I only have a couple of knitting books so far, so they're easy to remember. Good reminder to update my library though!

    Thanks for the contest.
